The neighborhood book club met last night at Liz Smith’s house. We discussed Freakonomics and enjoyed some lovely sherry, a departure from our usual liquid refreshments.

Neighbors enjoy good books, company
University Place Neighborhood Assn.’s Book Club just finished its first year’s reading list, which included the following titles:

Lois Llewellen hosted the UPNA Book Club in her home on Monday, March 6th. This month’s selection was Funny in Farsi, a charming memoir about a young Iranian girl growing up in California before and after the revolution and the Iran Hostage situation.
